Tamir relies on community support for more than just financial assistance. Your commitment of time can add so much. Consider becoming a volunteer at Tamir and see how much your time can help.

Volunteering at Tamir is flexible and fun! Volunteer a couple of times a week at the Tamir main office, once a week with a Tamir participant, once a month at a program or once a year at a specific special event. The choice is yours but the benefit is ours!

Program based opportunities

Spend time at one of our programs and lead an arts and crafts activity... play some music... cook a meal for the group... help with a group outing.

Become a friend to a Tamir participant

Spend some quality time with someone at Tamir... watch a hockey game... Take a walk... play a game... play a sport.

Judaic Programming

Assist at our holiday celebrations... lead a Shabbat dinner... teach a Judaic Outreach Studies classes... become a Shul Buddy for a Tamir participant. Learn more about Yad B’Yad student volunteer opportunities here.

Agency Support

Help with the Golf Fun-raiser... Tamir Chai Tea... provide administrative support at the office... Archive our photograph collection... help with our newsletter.
