Become a Tamir Hero

In November 2010, Tamir introduced a new campaign entitled Tamir Heroes. Its purpose is to help us raise funds for significant needs that there is no government support for. For more information about the campaign and how you can help, please click here.

Planned Giving

Tamir thanks its members and donors for their ongoing support! Funds received through our membership drive, tribute card program and fundraising events help to offset the day to day costs of providing quality care in a Jewish environment.

Tamir also asks its supporters to consider Planned Giving as an option to help us ensure longer term financial security. There are many tax and cost - effective methods available that for a relatively small investment today will provide Tamir with a substantial gift in you or your family members’ name in the future. We would be pleased to work with you and an Investment Advisor to assist in finding the best options for you to help build a legacy of care here at Tamir.

Endowment Funds

The Ottawa Jewish community has a long tradition of supporting its’ most vulnerable and Tamir is a proud recipient of various endowment funds set up through the Ottawa Jewish Community Foundation (OJCF). Corporate Partners and Tamir!

There are many ways to make a difference in the lives of persons with developmental disabilities. Tamir has been very successful in developing innovative partnerships with businesses and organizations across our community that provide a feeling of connection and purpose that many people with disabilities are seeking. Opportunities for Corporate Giving

Corporate sponsorship is important to Tamir. Here are just a few ways corporate financial sponsorship can help!

• Consider adding your corporate support to Tamir fundraising events, such as the Annual Tee Up For Tamir Golf Fun-raiser, the Bi-Annual Tea Event,
• Sponsor a program such as Judaic Outreach or Keshet for Kids Summer or March Break Camps and make a difference is someone’s life
• Sponsor a Tamir participant activity such as the annual Winterfest, Tamir Family Picnic, the Fall Baseball and BBQ, our Chanukah party, etc. Click here for details.

Tamir is happy to publicize corporate support and will work with you to ensure that your sponsorship is recognized. Thank you advertisements in the Ottawa Jewish Bulletin, displaying your corporate name and logo at Tamir events, recognition through the Tamir Donor Recognition Wall are all ways Tamir celebrates these partnerships.

In Kind Contributions

Become a Tamir Business Buddy, an innovative program that assists Tamir in offsetting the cost of property maintenance. Provide goods or services and help keep our programs running smoothly.

Tamir is always in need of the following goods and/or services:

• Furnishings
• Landscaping
• Office equipment
• Painting and general repairs
• Plumbing
• Snow removal
• Vehicle maintenance
