TAMIR'S Services
Tamir offers a variety of services in response to community need, including:
Group Homes:
These programs provide individuals an opportunity to live with peers in a warm, inviting home environment. Support is provided up to 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.
Supported Independent Living/Outreach:
Assistance is available through this program to individuals who are semi-independent. Whether living in their own homes or in Tamir housing, participants may receive up to 35 hours of support a week, according to individual need.
Time Share Accommodations:
Tamir's Time Share program serves as a respite for family caregivers and a new living and learning experience for participants. One-month stays are shared on a rotational basis, averaging three times per year.
Day Services:
Tamir's Passages Program helps individuals obtain employment, educational and recreational options that are best suited to their skills, interests and needs. The focus of this program is community based work/volunteer and leisure activities.
Tamir's Day Program provides a variety of recreational and leisure activities, life skills development and volunteer opportunities to its' participants.
Judaic Outreach Services:
This service is designed to enhance the Jewish identity of individuals with developmental disabilities who live within Tamir or in the community. Regular activities incorporate Shabbat observance, holiday celebrations and opportunities to socialize and participate in Jewish life.
